Breathing in Vietnam - Photo Exhibition
Exhibition at hotel's lobby
30th June to 30th July

In honoring the friendship as well as exchanging the cultures between Korea and Vietnam, from 30th June to 30th July, InterContinental Saigon is holding the photo exhibition Breathing in Vietnam daily from 10am to 5pm at the hotel's lobby. The exhibition is the partnership between InterContinental Saigon and Vietnam-Korea Times Newspaper, featuring the photo collection of 2 photographers, Kang Hong Q and Tran The Phong. 
All the money generated from the selling of these photos will be donated to Vietnamese people with disabilities.
 
About the photographers
 
Kang Hong Q was born in 1967 in Korea. By 1997, he had graduated from Chung-Ang University in Seoul with a bachelor degree in photograph and Academy of Arts University in San Francisco with a master degree in motion picture and video. In 2002, he became professor in broadcasting and visual art. Mr Kang’s first project with Vietnam was in 2014 when he published ‘The colour of Vietnam’. The next project was the ‘Breathing in Vietnam’ exhibition, held in 2015.
 
Tran The Phong was born in 1969 in Vietnam. Since 2008, his projects have been based in Ho Chi Minh city. In 2014 he had a project called ‘Childhood & Ganh’ in Switzerland. His most recent project, besides ‘Breathing in Vietnam’, was ‘Light of the life’ in 2015.
 
About Vietnam Korea Times
 
The newspaper was published for the first time on February 25, 2013. It is the collaboration of Vietnam Pictorial, a Vietnam News Agency (VNA) publication, and a newspaper for overseas citizens of the Republic of Korea (RoK). The publication of the newspaper aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries; and to be a bridge for mutual understanding and trust between the two nations and peoples. It provides information on Vietnam’s investment environment and cooperation opportunities, while serving as a reliable source of news for the Korean community living in Vietnam.
